snow day

a big storm hit southern california this weekend, which means a wet los angeles and snowy mountains! i went out to see my mom in the high desert and we made a trip up to wrightwood to get some coffee & enjoy the snow!

i love the snow.  i love it even more that i can just go see it for the day and come back to my warm, snow-less house! carlos didn't like the snow at all - he was trying to bite the snow as it was falling!  happy monday! 

here comes the sun

the cold weather has officially arrived in LA, but i wouldn't be suprised if we had another heatwave... or two.  i've spent plenty of thanksgivings in sandals.  we woke up to rain this morning (!!), which only made my pumpkin pancakes taste better.  by 11, the rain stopped so we took carlos out on a quick little walk!   

on me: free people jacket & socks, madewell shirt (similar), alexander mcqueen scarf, juliet & company necklace, j brand jeans, hunter boots, ray-ban sunglasses.  on carlos: snuggie for dogs in leopard print

i'll take any excuse to wear my hunter wellies!  they seriously are the best rain boots (especially if you like splashing in puddles... which i still do)!

its raining!

got brave and went to dinner at larchmont bungalow (quickly becoming my fav. food spot) on saturday night despite the rainy weather.  it's less the rain that makes me wanna stay home and more the drivers on the LA streets.  what is it with people forgetting how to drive when it rains?  or maybe everyone just drives the same when it rains - badly (except me of course! ha).  the only good thing about the rain is it give me an excuse to wear my rain boots!  seriously, one drop of rain before i leave the house and those boots are on my feet.  anyway, what i wore:
