fall/winter wish list

the weather is finally starting to cool down a bit and i'm starting to feel like i need a few changes to my wardrobe as the season is changing...

1. rag & bone the skinny - my favorite dark denim skinnies are ready to be retired, so i'm in the market for a new pair. 
2.  paige verdugo legging - i need one new fashion denim piece.  these paisley print leggings are perfect, not too loud but more interesting than a solid color.
3. penfield buffalo plaid flannel shirt - can't go wrong with a buffalo plaid flannel shirt.  i would probably wear this every other day... 
4. marc by marc jacobs mouse flats - i've wanted those marc by marc jacobs flats for oh so long, this might be the year i actually buy them.
5. madewell lily lace dress - nice enough to wear to holiday parties, but could also be dressed down for everyday!
6. free people oversized panda cardi - an oversized cardigan has been missing from my closet, and i've been getting tired of my oversized pullovers.  this cardi is the answer!
7. sorel tivoli boot - i love my uggs, as ugly as they are but they just aren't cutting it anymore!  with the rubber bottom and good traction these will be a perfect replacement to (old) uggs.
8.  st. james striped tee  - another classic that is (kinda) missing from my closet. 

this isn't the most exciting and and trend-filled wish list, but since i'm on the reduced waste/saving money kick i need to be buying things that i can wear more than one season.  what's on your fall wish list?    

more florals

went out to my mom's saturday for mothers day (duhh).  the weather was amazing.  perfect to wear my new paige x liberty collab shorts!

under/over the weather

i'm sooooo ready for warmer weather, the cold is really getting to me.  annnnd i feel like im getting sick, ughhhh.  even though i'm not feeling so hot, i couldn't leave you all without some kind of post!  the good news is that its still light when i leave work so i can take my outfit photos after work!  see me, at the end of the day when i'm sick and tired (bloggers, they're just like us!):

brunchy sunday

wore this outfit to my b-day brunch on sunday, which includes my b-day present from my little sister - the blanket stripe ked's for madewell tennies (yes, i'm calling them tennies)! i am obsessed with them!  one of my favorite b-day presents!  actually, all my presents were my favorites (which i will be posting in outfits eventually)!

and this is my last post that i will mention my birthday, because its over.  oh, and my real favorite b-day gift?  the one i got for myself - a plane ticket to austin, tx to visit my bffs!!!

mint+spots

i wore this outfit with the intention of going to an event after work on thursday night, however... by the time work was over i was exhausted (mostly cause i went to see star wars in 3d on wednesday night. yup, i did.) and decided to just go home and relax. i'll find some other event to wear it too, i'm sure!

its starting to really feel like spring here in L.A., i was actually a little warm in this outfit!  also, its barely noticeable but i got a hair cut!  i think it was like two inches  it feels a lot shorter than it looks.  now i have to decide if i should stick with ombre or grow it out and go all natural.  any thoughts?  happy friday! 

winner, winner! (j.w. hulme custom legacy bag)

a while ago i made this post asking you all to vote for me in the j.w. hulme create your own legacy contest on facebook - to win a custom mini legacy - and guess what! i won! i was so excited that i actually won something! i don't think i've won anything since i was in the 3rd grade when i won a raffle for a cake we made in the class! shortly after i found out that i won, j.w. hulme sent me a little package of swatches so i could choose the leather, lining and hardware color. 

after selecting the swatches i wanted - red leather, plaid lining & gold hardware - i sent back the swatches.  a few months later i received bigger package in the mail, j.w. hulme had upgraded the prize from the mini legacy to the full size legacy!  amazing!

the bag is gorgeous, as i had expected!  the quality of j.w. hulme products is amazing!  i've always been a big fan of american heritage brands, so of course j.w. hulme is at the top of my list!  i also wanted to say thank you to all the people who voted for me!  winning and having the support of so many people is just as good a prize as the actual bag!
