nyfw fall 2011: marc by marc jacobs FAVORITE!

favorite show from nyfw fall 2011 - marc by marc jacobs.  i'm not suprised though, marc jacobs is my favorite.

i love love love the animal prints, and i'm not just talking about the leopard print.  the gazelle (i think) print skirt! the elephant suit!  so amazing!  i've always liked wearing prints with animals on them, like in high school i wore this awesome skirt with cats on it, and then i also had a mini skirt with horses running in a river. ahh such awesome skirts. also love the polka dots, the plaid, the poncho... so yeah, basically everything.

anyway i'm super excited that marc jacobs is bringing these animal prints (or maybe wildlife prints is better?) back for fall!  i think i might even start wearing the prints now.

nyfw fall 2011: tory burch favorites

tory burch is almost my favorite nyfw fall 2011 show - almost.  check out my favorite looks:

i didn't always like tory burch's rtw, and was more into her shoes (of course i still have a pair of reva flats in my closet), but every season i start to like the rtw more and more.  for fall i love all the separates because it means lots of different possibilities with mixing pieces - and the pieces are really wearable, even in LA weather!

nyfw fall 2001: rebecca minkoff favorites

lots of love for rebecca minkoff's fall 2011 collection.  check out my favorite looks:

i've been a fan of rebecca minkoff's accessories, but i think i'm starting to like her rtw best.  knits were added to the collection for fall, which is amazing because i love knits.  i think i might need to add some rebecca minkoff to my closet this fall.

nyfw fall 2011: alice + olivia favorites

one of my favorite shows for the fall 2011 nyfw is alice + olivia.  it wasn't easy, but i narrowed down a few of my favorite looks:

this collection has more separates than usual in an alice + olivia collection, which means lots of different outfit possibilities.  also maybe a possibility that i will finally be able to add something alice + olivia to my closet.  love the skirt in the first look!

nyfw fall 2011: chris benz favorites

check out my favorites from chris benz's savannah inspired fall 2011 collection.

lots of good transitional pieces in this collection, which means you can buy them at the end of the season on sale!  i can see so many possibilites styling wise with this collection, dress it up or down, in rain or shine.  everything is so wearable, which i love.  as much as i love the artistic side of fashion, its just not as much fun when i can't actually imagine wearing the pieces.

basically i can't find one thing i don't like about this collection.

nyfw fall 2011: alexander wang favorites

alexander wang has definitely differentiated his collection from his lower priced lines with his fall 2011 collection

i'm a big fan of his T collection, mostly cause its sem-affordable.  and by semi-affordable i mean i once splurged on the classic tank with a pocket.  which is about $80, and definitely more affordable than his rtw.

anyway - i love the contrast between the soft cozy knits and the shiny satin.  can i get that poncho, please?

nyfw fall 2011: rag&bone favorites

rag & bone's fall 2011 show had some very interesting stuff going on, as usual there is lots of layering.  i love the loose braids the models have.

it was a little hard picking my favorites, but my interest is really in what items will be showing up in the studio for the e-comm site.  i don't know how wearable the items are for LA weather, but who knows.  its snowed in LA like once before.
