san antonio home style

i am back in los angeles after my trip to san antonio, tx!  not only was i visiting my one of my best friends, carolyn, but it was also my first time to texas!  we had lots planned for the 4 1/2 days that i would be visiting, including a trip to the roundtop antique fair (more on that later).  i made the trip with her twin sister - my other best friend/crafting buddy/hiking partner, anjelica. 

we flew in wednesday night, and i don't think i've ever been more excited for a trip!  due to an unexpected plane change and two hour delay in vegas, we didn't get in till around midnight, but that didn't stop me from awing at the amazing furniture and decorating that carolyn has in her little duplex!

spending a few days in her amazingly decorated house makes me wanna do more decorating in my own place.  i definitely came home inspired!  i love all the little vignettes around the house, and the rugs... so amazing! 

my house is boring

i've become kinda obsessed with interior design, an obsession that emerged in feburary when boyfriend, dog and i moved into a cute little two bedroom craftsman-style back house. i haven't really decorated that much, so i've made it my mission to have the living room re-decorated (can i use re-decorated if i haven't really started?) by dec. 20th. i made curtains already so need to kinda work around them. luckily, i have a pretty ecletic taste.

i found a great place for decorating inspiration, shootspaces. they showcase houses that can be used for photoshoots all over Europe, Africa and the US.

i've already bought a kilim rug for the living room and i'm planning on heading to PCC on sunday (bright and early!) to scope out some more stuff. don't forget to check the blog for the before and after pics of my living room!

not getting married.

i was never one of those little girls who dreams about their wedding and already has the dress picked out by the time she is 13. in fact, i really don't care to be married (at least thats how i feel right now). but i think i found my dream wedding on the free people blog, bldg 25. anyway, i have no plans to get married but if i was i would want it to look like this!
